My friend reinstalled OJ to play with me and we were trying to get her new characters through the store, but for whatever reason the game will take the 100 oranges but not give her a new character. She's done this 3 or 4 times now assuming they would show up later after restarting or entering a match, but they're still missing.

Also shouldn't she have QP, Kai and Marc's singleplayer quests available? For some reason she only has Suguri's...

my friend has tried various things to fix this, even starting a new save file and this issue still persists

hi, sorry for the late reply just saw this thread. we've released an update that should fix the issue that you described with the character crate
as for the quests, you need to have the respective base game character unlocked to be able to access their singleplayer campaign
either by purchasing a specific character from the shop after finishing the story of the character you selected when creating a file (in this case suguri) or by unlocking them from the character crate
