Heya ^^ My friend downloaded 100% OJ last night, and it ran fine, we played two games yesterday without any interruptions whatsoever. However when he went to run it today, steam said....well what the Title says:

Failed to Start process for this game : "Access is denied." (0x5)

We already tried running steam as administrator, changing permissions, restarting the pc, uninstalling and reinstalling...Additionally other games such as Jackbox and Undertale apperantly run fine? It is exclusively 100% OJ that doesnt want to run.

We're kinda concerned about it, not quite sure what exactly the issue is, as i said, we tried many things, and only he is getting this error, my 100% OJ runs completly fine- could someone help us please ;-;

Does the game run from its folder, like running the executable directly?

I'm assuming it's Windows, can you check if the Windows Event Viewer has any entry for the game not running on its Application log section?

It's indeed really weird that it ran one day and didn't on the next, even more with such an uncommon error

Have you tried to add the game folder as an exclusion on Windows Defender? That kind of error can be caused by it blocking the executable from running while scanning it and similar

Maybe Windows will give you a proper and more detailed reason if you run the game directly from the executable. Steam could be oversimplifying it

We did try that step above just now, and turns out he is unable to add it as an exclusion on Windows Defender- (hes on a school laptop) so that step is off the table...Ill tell him to try the step of running ot from the executable tho, maybe that helps

Our current idea is that the antivirus software updated overnight and suddenly decided OJ was not okie dokie, which is wierd but my only explanation right now...

Whenever he tries to open the Game trough the executable, it tries to open it trough Steam, so we're not getting any detailed info from it

They are clicking on 100orange.exe and Steam appears and block it?
