#Save file instability after having not played since 2022

I haven't played Orange Juice since 2022 and tried launching it to play it recently only to find my save profiles completely missing.

After looking into it a bit, I saw that the save file structure was changed since I last played and started going through the potential fixes posted here. I attempted to locate an old saves profile folder to backup from there but could not find one on either my desktop or old laptop (presumable because the old save structure didn't use a saves profile folder). What I did find was a new saves profile folder created today without any of my old profiles on it.

I attempted to restore a backup from Steam cloud however Steam cloud created a new backup when I launched it today. I relaunched the game and created a new profile to see what carried over and was prompted to choose a starting character and play through the tutorial. Skipping the tutorial I checked my cosmetics and player stats to find that my player stats carried over but no cosmetics, event unlocks, or card unlocks.

Based on the save problems post I know my old profile could be lost, but could it be possible to restore it from the old user.dat and user.bak save files from 2022 I have?

If you are on Windows, run tools/100orange_save ^^ But make sure to delete the save folder first, cause it probably created a dummy empty one

That worked! Thank you! I didn't realize that was even a tool when working through the fixes.

Oh, that's just to convert old saves ^^ we have removed support for them in the codebase this update to avoid random stuff breaking with time as the game grows
