How specifically do you lose connection? Like, do you have wifi issues yourself?
Also, I assume you've tried switching lobby tabs back and forth?

have you tried joining via steam/discord invite?
because I know a friend who can't see my lobbies but can join via that

this is a workaround, but have you tried using the Search feature
Search feature is able to find lobbies that arent displaying on the lobby list for whatever reason

Have you tried discord invites? Otherwise yeah that's really annoying. Is it one specific friend?

do they have any connection issues? maybe the issue's with them somehow
I think even with your internet it shouldn't do that, but trying to investigate the cause is still possible
can you try to intentionally trigger it?
no intentionally turning off your pc wifi, no trying to leave a lobby instead of DCing, etc?
weird. is there a specific message the game gives you when it leaves?
Ah, maybe its a steam library sharing issue, then?
