when iam using the tier 3 fishing ship i use the sonar and on the ship layout you can see its working but on my own little sonar it keeps saying it needs to be turned on

Same here. When I try to toggle between map and sonar by pressing K, it just say turn on the sonar in the minimap (On Turbo), even when sonar is on. And the brightnes adjust buttons is missing on Turbo. And You still have to turn sonar off and on again every some minutes to get it to update data on the display, bottom depht and the fish echoes. (Tested on Conquest and Turbo). I reported this bug earlier in the 0.7.5.Ver. Both Flippy and Conquest.

That's correct, for now, the sonar only works in the wheelhouse asset as we started redesigning the UI. We will roll out the new UI in stages.
