While in "NAV-Mode", the autopilot will disregard any additional waypoints added.

THere is a 'set route' button, which drops the ap to standby, then if you click nav again, it recognises the new points...did you try that?

No, mostly I sail in 3rd person view, so I just press "P" on the keyboard twice, until "Nav" shows in the HUD. But the way you describe it seems the plausible way to operate it. Thx for the explanation 😃
