Hi there, currently we don't have a direct download link however if you use the Aurora App Store you can download Cloaked there. You can use other 3rd party websites to download the APK however we'd recommend either getting it via the Google Plsy Store or via Aurora App Store

Hi there, the aurora store lets me download, but I get a black screen when I try to log in. Same with APKMirror, APKPure, etc

I am running GrapheneOS on a Pixel 7a.

Just an FYI!

Thanks!

EDIT:

I found something interesting - according to Aurora Store, the Cloaked app relies on the Google Services Framework in order to work, so, even with using Aurora, I still need the Google Store on to be able to use the Google Services store on GrapheneOS.

Hopefully you find a way to make an APK without all these dependencies.

Thanks for the great product!

Hey @wary wren I'll pass this on to our Android App team and see if they have any update/solution to this. As we do have quite a few team members who daily drive GrapheneOS!

Hey there @wary wren - been working with our the team to check out the issue you've been having! We could do with a couple of extra details! Would you be able to confirm which version of GrapheneOS you're running? From our testing so far we've been able to replicate a similar issue to what you're facing with a the black screen happening when webview loading the next screen required for login with a hint of latency mixed in. So if you are running any VPNs or alike it would be helpful if you'd be able to give us some details on that front too!

GrapheneOS just got an upgrade: I am on build number 2024040900, if it helps! Regarding my setup, I am currently on my DNS, ControlD, using a profile where I bypass everything (like I am just on regular wifi), and my regular profile, which is more stringent (I blacklist everything, and only allow what I want).

I had to whitelist a few things (I can try to get that list for you, let me know @vocal scarab ), but after I whitelisted all the items, I wait a second or two and then I can log on.

However, the only site I could find an actual APK on (that was not an xapk) was APKCombo, and I don't know how trustworthy it is. I can't find it on APKMirror, which seems to be used the most used and trustworthy.

In short ,I think the graphene OS update was what did the trick. For now, I am going to stick with the play store version of the app, BUT that's why it would make the most sense to have a direct APK on your site, since this is such a sensitive application!

Thanks!

Hey there, thanks for those additional details! They are most helpful! I've also had another update from the team!

They have noted the same behavior you experienced. Also that the xapk from Aurora store is ideal/preferred method. Also, we are working to get a build on fdroid as well as our website but this is taking a bit of time.

If your happy too we can put in a feature request for fdroid or apk on website that will help us push the feature/request on your behalf!

Please do! That would be great! Fdroid or direct APK would be good
