#Has anyone converted their physical sim to eSIM and had SMS issues?

I bought an Iphone 14 pro max in the US and since the US variant doesn't have a physical sim slot I had to convert my physical Jio Sim to eSIM and then on I am not able to send any SMS. Everything else works fine excpet for outgoing SMS. It’s been over two weeks now even JIO is not able to fix the issue. Has anyone here faced a similar issue? If yes, were are you able to fix it?

If all else fails I'm thinking of converting my eSIM back to physical sim and then port out to Airtel. Would that be a wise decision? Need your inputs. Thanks in advance.

I converted to Esim ... 13 Pro here

I’ve been using esim for a year now no issues for me

The issue was only with outgoing SMS

#

The guy from the tech team finally pushed an update after working on it for the whole day and it’s fixed now after a looooong wait of 2 weeks

I was planning on switching to airtel but things are smooth now. Thanks everyone!

I’ve been using eSIM too no issues iMessages and normal messages both work fine

I think it’s a good idea to authorise all my banking apps and never log out of them

The tech guy had told me to send him 3 messages at 3 different intervals

Which didn’t deliver ofc. But that he’d then decode as to why it didn’t work out

We started testing it out in the morning and his response comes late in the night at 11 saying he’d fixed it

I’m assuming it’s outside of his working hours?

But yeah the overall experience has been pathetic

They closed my tickets a couple hours after I raised them

Why? No one has a reason why. They just close it to reset their 48hr resolution tat

I had to run behind them to reopen it right away, hurl rants at them on twitter, play mind games with jio appelate on mails

Along these lines, did you guys get any advantage using ESim over a phyisical sim? Improved battery life or something?
