i think that he’s referring to a counter as in super smash bros for instance. you press a button and for a brief moment you preform a move known as a counter and during the counter you’re in a state of which you can not be hit during. if someone tries to hit you however you will teleport behind the person and deliver a devastating attack that we’ll be even more powerful than the attack you countered
