I remember I've played a mobile game that have quite similar gameplay to Loftia few years ago (it's called "Play Together" iirc). That game has a feature called "desire". So it works like micro quests: for some minutes irl, a random "desire" will pop up on your character (It also applies to your pets), and if you fulfill their desire, you'll get some lil bonus.
These are some examples of their desire feature:
- Hungry -> you eat 1 food
- Thirsty -> you drink 1 beverage
- Stinky -> you take a shower
- Sleepy or need a nap -> you go to bed and sleep for some seconds irl
I think it's a great idea to make your character feels more natural and like real human.
