Booted to main menu?

Have had this issue twice today, trying to go from home to city. Loading screen crashes halfway through and puts me on this screen, the only thing i can do from here is hit [esc] which opens up the quit to desktop menu and allows me to close the game without force quitting it but cant load back in.

Sequence of events: went from ballon near windmill to home island, did some things at home (craft, plant, cook etc.), went to ballon and picked the dome.
Exact same circumstance as the first time it happened too going from the ballon near the windmill to home to dome.

I think the Sydney sever is having issues. Crashed 4 times in a row since this. I can’t get to my home island 😅

Is that it? Sydney was running so much smoother than LA was last night when I was joining a friend. Will have to try swap back there again I guess.

I’m considering swapping servers to see if the crashing resolves 🤔

Looks like it didn't swap me when I tried but it's running smoother again. I did lose all the materials I'd gathered before the crash though :\

Yes so did I!

My reconnection issues was my partner also joining at the same time on his account (same internet connection). That didn’t cause the initial crash but that was the issues I was having trying to rejoin 🤣

i think sydney servers are struggling. everyone i know is teleporting about every 60 seconds, unable to break stuff, and i get that screen a lot.

Yep syd is very unstable! Has been since beta started. Hopefully fixed soon, I can’t manage with 400 ping on the other servers. But even on syd I get 200+ ping and I’m in Australia, should be 90-100 for me

I suspect it’s plonking me on other servers randomly, because sometimes I’m only getting 85 ping and it’s smooth and beautiful no issues.
