Painting my rug kicks me out

So I placed two basic plush rugs next to eachother in my house to basically make one big plush rug, and I am attempting to colour matched them, however, everytime I hit apply to the colour, the game completely kicks me out

Update: I separated the rugs, put them close enough but not connecting to colour match and it has allowed me to colour match without crashing. I then was also able to reattach them without issues
