Not only did they take away some stuff, they also didn't account for some changes. You could skip a gym puzzle by walking diagonally (which you couldn't do in the originals and nobody considered that new movement directions might just break some stuff)

so a while back ms announced it was removing obfuscation from their java editions (not the ps3 edition). that means they took away the parts of code which were "hiding" their main code, which is not releasing it as open source, nor are they providing the files to the public, but it does allow people to decompile the java, read much more of the code, see their internal filenames, etc. this was probably done to assist their modding community.

removing obfuscation doesn't allow anyone the legal freedom to take, modify, or redistribute that code though, so the ps3 leak is still illegal.

||having said that, I imagine the ps3 code isn't anything amazing or overly surprising in light of them removing obfuscation from their java editions code; also the ps3 version is ancient, very much its own, probably highly outdated edition.||

I'm finally playing a few of my newer games that I hadn't touched yet (and some I bought recently, because apparently my unplayed games list wasn't long enough lol).

marvel rivals: about to hit the new season;
collector's cove: strangely absorbing, somewhat repetitive but appealing loop which improves in efficiency and interest as you go, and with some super cute, unique mechanics. accessorising and hugging my fablefin companion makes me wibble with joy. this game came flying out of the gate recently, and I look forward to seeing where it goes;
core keeper: absolute banger. I didn't think I'd love another pixel farming & life sim this much again, but it calls to me. this is gonna be a long-term fave, I can tell;
cozy caravan: super cute, relaxing but stuff keeps happening, with some mild exploration? I'm still getting into the groove of this one. choose and customise your own animal character. I love playing as a freaking goat — everyone is so cute;
kabuto park: adorable, simplistic little bug-catching & battling game that I suspect can be finished in around five hours. scribbly but accurate graphics have got me hooked. I've played for over two hours so far, but I plan to take my time. x3 I think insect-lovers of any age might love this equally! amagash, it's so sweet;
mudborne: ever played the bee game, apico? same dev, this one is a nerd-level scientific "restore and reestablish the pond so everything is saved" — but frogs!! you are also a frog! beautiful 2D pixel environment and graphics and intuitive gameplay are going to keep me coming back to completion;

-# and for idlers:
cast n chill: can be actively played or idle mode at your whimsy. I just adore this game and its stunning pixel graphics, sceneries that evolve with the time of day, and soundscapes. I sometimes pop this on in the background to hear the gentle, realistic, lulling sounds of fishing in lakes and rivers, with the soundtrack just coming in gently once a while (think minecraft) which feels strangely calming and uplifting. the sounds don't feel repetitive, but more like the real experience you'd have near a river. so relaxing. the actual fishing game, if you partake in it, is perfect; it absolutely captures the vibe and interest that people have when fishing alone, down to the details. an asmr dream;
mini cozy room: lo-fi: I loved getting things done with this in the background, decorating my perfect little rooms when I'm not busy, then using them with my little body double to lock in;
ropuka's idle island: he frog, he rest, he cut the grass;

cattails: wildwood story: my fam enjoyed this so it might be my jam;
gourdlets: I pick up and put this down whimsically but it's always fun. holding out for the mp version;
grim dawn: one of the best top-down arpgs I've ever played. I'm a huge fan of diablo; I like grim dawn better. they nailed it. I'm keen to pick this up again once my hype about newer games has settled — and drag bestie in with me for multiplayer action;
gris: a beautifully moving, surreal game, the music and tone plays on your emotions. gives journey vibes fr; I feel connected to this character. I started this a couple of months ago, and played for hours. I'm ready for another round;
sakuna: of rice and ruin: I'm hyped to play this unique take on farming sim x battle rpg, so it's going onto the near future list;
to the moon: I started this years ago, found it charming and enjoyable. it was recommended again to me recently by skaia, so it's getting a re-try (and hopefully completion);
wild woods: I bought this last week, so I gotta try it.. right?;
windblown: the animal characters are beyond cute and the gameplay has not disappointed! amazing, adorable, challenging top-down arpg that I need to get stuck into, and drag my friends in too. they have copies already, there's no escape for them.

It's a bit different to the Sims in that Miis actually know about the player and talk to you. Also you control less in Tomodachi (in a way). For example, you can make Miis meet but you can't make them fall in love. You gotta wait till they fall in love by themselves at which point you can control if they act on it (or you can gaslight them into thinking they weren't actually in love lol)

Oh wow! Also it’s still in beta kind of. Every update makes more glitches. Although they did fix one that made it hard to feed the ranch animals. It took four patches to fix after they broke it.

Every update causing new glitches and bugs is pretty much guaranteed with live service games though. Even Loftia will likely not be able to avoid that. Bugs just come with updates no matter how hard you try to avoid it most of the time

Sky: COTL had a bug once that we called the praygue (cause our characters would repeatedly do the pray emote which made playing the game near impossible). We decided that the spirit who teaches the emote had a grudge and thus forced us all to pray day in and out
