yes modern games 100% get more handholding. :< and if you want something more difficult or spicy people can often only suggest typical known hardcore games (souls like, etc) which doesn't fill the hole that sims and rpgs are leaving behind. or those who want something in between.

it's good to have cosier, more relaxed options (not everyone wants a hardcore experience), but it becomes increasingly difficult to find this authentic experience as time passes. even some known games which were specifically loved for their difficulty are making their newer releases continually easier instead of offering "easy mode" for the outliers. now wanting a challenge in cute/pretty/aesthetic games is the outlier. they might offer hard mode but when it's online multiplayer, you can't change the setting (and most people wouldn't choose it anyway, at least not in western servers) — you have to singleplay or pick up older or indie games (also basically singleplaying there too) on the side to be partially satisfied.

I would rather play more relaxed than hard. Even in a more challenging game. My hands are old. You have no idea how my hands hated some parts of mini games in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. It took me over 130 hours to complete the game. Even on easy there were forced mini games that I struggled very badly with. I loved the original game so much. I also struggled with the high action of Final Fantasy XVI also. The last battle I had to keep pausing the game to rest my hands. That game I didn’t like as much as Rebirth either. I also had that one on a so called story setting. It was not. I don’t even think young me could have played the games. I did not platinum either of them, or care to try. I have one platinum ever and that’s Persona 3 Reload.

Palia has one outfit for 20-30 dollars which I think is way too much. 5 dollars if buy. I did buy one way back to support the game.

A lot of tablet games have introduced passes and they used to be about 5 dollars. But most have gone to 10, or higher.

Like you do something and you’re not sure how it looks but what I try to do is improve small areas at a time until I’m satisfied and if I can’t get it “just right” I put it on hold and work on something else. I recommend when it comes time to shop, to look out for eofy (end of financial year, around june) sales, as often some good products will go much cheaper at this time, as shops prepare to restock.

laptops are great for portability. I gamed and did work on one for years and really enjoyed it. make sure you choose the specs that can accommodate the kind of programs you're using. eg, if you do any sort of heavy graphics or CAD work, or want to game, you do need some good graphics drivers, higher RAM, good processor, etc.

laptops can often be plugged in or cast to a monitor too, so they're not entirely "stuck" in this small screen, if later you happen to have a monitor or tv as well.

plus they can take external peripherals, such as a different plug in keyboard, etc. though I find many laptop keebs to be comfortable enough, esp. once you adapt to it.

I do like a full PC, but it's not necessary if you don't have the space or the cost. the obvious bonus of a PC though is that it can be upgraded over time, whereas a laptop is mostly just "as is".

-# if you did want a PC, same advice. shop during major sales in reputable sellers or online sellers, so you get a proper warranty, peace of mind, etc.

pc's don't necessarily take up TOO much more space than a laptop if you're putting the laptop at a desk anyway. they're just not portable, and if you're moving a lot, or want to take it about with you, you have to weigh up your own pros & cons.

I have to respectfully disagree. I've had to use the refund policy a couple of times when the game was nothing like was promised or shown, and was sorely lacking in execution.
and once when I'd just found out after buying the game that the developers did a very bad thing, so I took my chance to refund, refusing to support them monetarily.

i hav slowed down on the modding scene for now (im not exactly great with art-wise since you are practicly required to draw within Blockbench to texture the UV's right) also i needed a break, not like i went like two weeks in and modded in several items before steam left my body, so now im gaming until i get the urge to mod again

ive already done a good enough job as a prototype modeler for a massive project

no matter how small i contributed, it helps in the long run of things.

This is good to know. I would like to get it. But apparently it’s terrible on Xbox right now. I don’t have PC. Seems to be optimized poorly on Xbox. It does look nice. I watched a couple streamers and I didn’t see that it was full of bugs. But they’re playing on PC. I have it wishlisted on Xbox.

Yeah I can only speak for PC. I haven't encountered any major bugs. The pathing for some of the NPCs is a little funny, sometimes they walk in funny places, but not crazy. That's all I've noticed though.

I will say my one suggestion is I would like to just permanently turn of quest guidance instead of having to do it with every quest that pops up. But that's minor

mmm, thats one of the downsides of stardew. and only mods can fix that problem. such as freezing the timer before your player collapses at 2 am. and longer days.

the next best thing i could think of would be Dinkum, but that game has combat in it..pretty hard combat to some. but the game doesnt let you pass out after a set time, only if your health gets reduced to 0.

If you like the more modern game feel where you can roam around pretty much anywhere and the graphics are more 3D, then play the more modern ones (personally, I thought sword and shield was bad because it was too short with a weak story). There are some complaints and seems like half love and half hate but I thought scarlett and violet were very good.

If you like older style games better, more top down/high pixel, pixel art go with the older ones. I started with diamond and pearl and they remade it for switch called brilliant diamond and shining pearl but took away some of the parts I thought were really nice so I hate the remakes XD
