Hi, I just found out that "/DATA" folder is accessible by everyone through my network with smb.
I don't if it was me or CasaOS who just sets it up like this, but I would like to change it to have some kind of authentication, how could I do it?

I ask here because it's the folder that's accesses when I open "Files" in CasaOS WebUI, but I don't know by who was created and shared.

Thank you in advance!

You can't. CasaOS has no user or permission management.

If you know what you're doing you can manually edit /etc/samba/smb.conf and /etc/samba/smb.casa.conf.

Or better to use Nextcloud

For granular control

But that won't change the fact that /DATA is accessible to anyone without any security.

Inside is config of some apps, I was asking just to be sure I don't break anything because they are in use, but as a mounted volume not as SMB, so yeah, I don't know if I should enable some auth or not

As far as I know Samba and Docker do not intersect in any way, so even if you break Samba completely, Docker containers should run just fine.

So probably I could just disable the Samba service right? Or is it "merged" with the CasaOS one?
