Every time I re-run AdGuard Home, the IP address it gives me for DNS changes.
E.g it'll say 172.17.0.2, then next time the container runs it'll be 172.17.0.5, etc etc
How do I make it static, so that I don't need to keep checking it + changing my router settings every time it runs?

Is it just ADGuard Home or your whole Zimaboard? And is your ADGuard Home from the appstore or from portainer?
To give your zimaboard a fixed IP you need to do this on your router. On my router it is called "Static IP Address Binding List"

17.17.0.x sounds like Docker's internal IP address. How would your router even know how to connect to that? Unless you're using your ZimaBoard as a router?

I'm not on a Zimaboard fyi, but those are just the IPs that Adguard says to connect to. It's that or 127.0.0.1 (which stays static), but my router won't let me set that as a DNS

I think I've gotten confused, I'm guessing what I should be doing is setting my router's DNS to my linux box's static IP address?

ok disregard everything, I'm a dummy. Once I set the DNS to my machine's IP it worked fine.
