Guy's whole thing is: "I'm a callous jerk but I'm more than that". Hal is just rude like all the time

I think the difference is Guy was written to be a jerk, so he kinda has a "love to hate him" thing going on, whereas Hal seems more unintentionally rude?

Guy is like the dad who thinks he's really cool, he's meant to come off kind of goofy and silly while still being a bit of a jerk. Hal these days is written like a guy who yells at gas station employees at 1 AM and thinks he's cool for it.

It was based off an old 1940's radio serial and was written by Gene Luen Yang (art by Gurihiru!)

Basically a story about Supes finding himself and his abilities while dealing with a group of bigots who want to hurt people for extremist reasons after an Asian family moves to Metropolis. The two children in that family meet Superman and the three work together to find out who's been causing these hate crimes

#

It's a really good read and Gene really captures how Clark's meant to feel, someone representing the best in all of us

I'm not a DC fan but how come Batman is able to take down Gods yet he couldn't figure out how to permanently get rid of crime in his home city? It seems like in his own books he's depicted as a regular guy yet the moment he steps out of Gotham he's able to stand toe-to-toe with Darkseid.
