#Best Practice When Asking For Help

So that we stand the best chance of helping you with the minimum of frustration please consider the following when asking for help:

  1. Describe the issue.
Telling us that "Something isn't working" or "it's all going a bit mad" isn't the most helpful way of explaining the problem you're facing. We don't have the same context that you have.
-Explain in detail what you're experiencing
    -Describe specifically what is happening
-Tell us precisely what you're expecting to have happened.
Here's an example of a bad way of describing the problem: "My leg goes weird when I follow your tutorial". -In what way is it weird? Which tutorial are you following?
A better way to ask would be: "I'm following the Mechanical Creature tutorial, and when I add the follow path constraint the leg stretches out far to the side just like a cat when they're cleaning themselves".

  2. Provide Visuals.
A picture is worth a thousands words so please post a screenshot of the issue you're experiencing. This helps us see what you're seeing in a lot of cases. Please consider whether your picture fully encompasses the problem. For example, erratic movement is difficult to describe with one picture. So consider whether a video showing the issue would be better.
Please try to use screenshots rather than photos from your phone. These are much clearer and often provide much more information. If you're using blender then you have access to screenshots and at the very least, the Discord web interface. Windows has a built in snipping tool (WIN+SHIFT+S), or you can use a 3rd Party tool such as PicPick for small video recordings. Please just consider whether the image you're showing provides us with the full story.

  3. Be Patient.
People in this Discord are more than willing to help, and will often fall over each other trying to help. Please be mindful that everyone has their own personal stuff going on and no-one is obligated to help you. Please don't double post. It wont make things any faster.

Addendum: Please don't tag the "Helpful" tag until after 12 hours has elapsed and your questions remains unanswered
