#Having Issues with Mod Installation

I wanted to install a couple of optional skin mods for Hornet. Naturally, the internet told me to use BepInEX, so I installed it manually. Got the in-game mod menu to pop up, but it wasn't seeing any of the files. So I came here.

After browsing the discord here I was directed to start using Cogfly, which then directed me to using Thunderstore, and now, I can't even get the in-game mod menu to load.

When using the self installed BepInEX I was at least able to pull up the window, but I can't at all using Cogfly and Thunderstore. Could someone help me figure this out?

Bepinex does not come with an ingame UI - the version you downloaded from NexusMods includes BepInExConfigurationManager for ingame config edits. You can download this as another mod, or otherwise just install the mods you want through the installer.

If the console appears when opening the game, then it is working; for something similar to HK's title screen mod list, you can install {{Modlist}} via installer.

And as an alternative to BepinExConfigurationManager more in-line with HK modding, {{ModMenu}} adds a Mods entry to the settings screen for most mods with a config file.

An regarding the directory for skin installs with Thunderstore, I just drop them in the profile folder?

#

I saw that explained in another support thread

depends on the skin; if it is packaged for Patchwork, then you should just be able to install it directly via installer. I don't recall how Customizer skins are packaged, but I believe they actually go into the game directory; check the README of whatever skin you are installing.

#

when following instructions for manual installation, anything that directs you to the BepInEx/ folder or any subdirectories should be in the profile folder, while anything not inside that folder is in your game or save files.

Alright, time for trial and error

#

Well the skins are loading now, but I have no way to toggle them on and off in-game. Boo.

Alas, must be a problem with Customizer. Hopefully this gets corrected later.
