#I need help downpatching my game

I have decided to downpatch my hollow knight save until a new modding system is out, i saw a post detailing how to downpatch but i lost said post and require assistance to do it, any help will be appreciated.

extra info: i'm using Steam and i know that downpatching is done in the game's properties, but that is where my knowledge ends.

Verify that you are using the correct installer and patch!

  • Hollow Knight recently updated. Until the modding tools are also updated, you need to make sure you're on the previous version (1.5.78...), available as a beta in Steam, with an installer such as Lumafly or Scarab.
    • Pirated hollowpirate copies / Unofficial ports are not supported
  • Modding on 1.4.3.2 using "Mod Installer" / "Mod Installer 2" is no longer supported.
  • 1.2.2.1 Modding does not have an installer.
    • You can type ?tag 1221 for info on it.

How to check your Steam Beta options:
