Hey yall, i’ve been coming up with some ideas for a new mod that takes place after the events of the void ending and explores the background of the Radiance. I’d want it to be called “The Cult of the Infection” since it would be based off of the moth tribe that we don’t get to see a whole lot in either games. I drew a (rough) sketch of an npc/enemy that i feel fits the vibe i’m going for with the mod. I’d love a church-y/cult-y kinda vibe (almost like Blasphemous but for Hollow Knight)

As for getting there in game, I was thinking either behind the resting grounds (maybe talk to The Seer after void ending??) or dream-nailing the Radiance statue at Hollownest’s Crown.

I’d really love some help on this project as I know nothing about game design, coding, and I’m a mediocre artist at best, and I think giving one of the most mysterious beings in all of Hollownest some lore/extended story would be such a blast!

(also if something like this has already been thought about, in production, or made, let me know!) <3

also i was thinking of having all of the enemies/npc’s being fully infected, pretty much like a “baptism” but for the moths that are forced into the cult since all of Hollownest doesnt see them as equals because, despite Radiance spreading the infection to save Hollownest from the Pale King, the bugs see the Radiance as an evil, malevolent force that tried to mind control them, hence why the bugs of Hollownest would try to drive the moths out.

and by becoming fully consumed by the infection, they go mad and try to resurrect the Radiance, but since it was consumed by the Void, when they do end up succeeding, the Void and Randiance ending up becoming one entity. (thinking of maybe doing a deaths head hawk moth or black geometrid moth)
