I was doing a trial seed for a custom ruling i thought up with container config, and i got a disorientation curse from a blade of grass. Strange part is, I have Doubt set as my default curse and Disorientation is turned off, so it shouldn't have triggered the failsafe Disorientation from a default curse, right?

Included is the most recent user2modded as well as both player logs and modlogs from this seeds' two sessions (I had to reboot the game due to a softlock that happened from checking the stag egg check a 2nd time, a softlock that has existed for a while which i accidentally triggered this run so thats why there are two of them)

im actually wondering if its actually capping the amount of doubt curses to 2 despite it not being a listed thing that can be capped, i havent seen a doubt curse in a while but im getting a LOT of disorientations.

Looking at the save data, doubts cap is set to two. So yeah, the fail save with disorientation triggers. Are you sure, you didn't set the cap? As a workaround for this currently, you can do this:

  • Close the game
  • Open the user2.modded.json file (the one you posted, but in the directory where you found it)
  • Go to line 344 (like in the screenshot) and change the number to 0, then save.
  • Start the game again.

Oh, you probably mean that the readme doesn't mention that it can be capped? Well apparently it can zote I assume it does cap the amount of casts rather than the notch cost increase/cap, but I haven't touched that part of the mod in 2 years. I'll add that to the readme
