And no, the mods are not disabled
I checked and all the ones I ran with before are still on
I recommend getting Lumafly and using its "launch modded game" button to ensure the modding api is enabled
?tag lumafly
Lumafly
(formerly Scarab+)
This is a new version of Scarab, that fixes many of the problems with the commonly used version, as well as adds additional community-requested features (filtering by tags, showing new releases, offline mode, shareable mods/mod lists, and modpacks).

Lumafly will recognize the mods you installed with Scarab, that being said if Scarab messed something up in your install you might need to run its "reset memory" command
?tag reset
Lumafly Reset Commands
These should work on all platforms, as long as you've downloaded Lumafly and run it at least once. (Note: On windows you may need to have run it as Administrator at least once). If you're looking for generic .bat files, use ?tag bats.
🔹Reset Memory
-# Use this if you previously tried a different installer, or Lumafly didn't link to your game correctly.
🔹Force Mods to Update
-# Use this if it seems like you may have out of date mods, such as if you were previously using Scarab.
