so I bought the game recently and until now have used a mix of a friend's account and a pirated version of the game. After a clean uninstall of the pirated and installing the legal version however, lumafly is failing to load any mods. Not sure what the issue is, I've tried verifying the integrity of the files but did not help.

How to fix Installer Errors
- Make sure Hollow Knight is CLOSED.
- Make sure that the Installer isn't in your Downloads folder (Desktop or a folder on the same drive as your game install is best).
- If the installer is in a
.zip, then you must Extract it - Right-click the installer file, and select "Run as Administrator"

Windows won't let me open the Mod Installer
- If there's a Pop Up that says "Windows Protected your PC", then click "More Info" (on the left), and then a "Run Anyway" button will appear to click.
- This happens because Windows automatically blocks apps that don't pay Microsoft and go through the process to have their app Verified by Windows.
Installer vanishes after downloading / loads a blank screen
This is commonly because one or more issues:
- The installer was left in a .zip or in the Download folder. (It's recommended to put it on your Desktop or on the same Harddrive as your game installation)
- The installer may need to be run as Administrator (Right-Click it, and select "Run as Administrator")
- The installer is being blocked / removed by built-in security software, such as Windows Defender
- The installer is being blocked / removed by third-party security software (Avast / Norton / MacAfee / etc)
- If you are not sure how to create Exceptions in your Security software for programs, then you can see this guide or you may need to google how to do it for the software that you use.
Basically, it looks like Lumafly is not maintaining an Internet connection when attempting to Download the Mod(s)
Since you seemed to be able to use steam's Verify and other online stuff OK, it would looks like you're issue is most like that you have software on your computer that is Blocking Lumafly from having an Internet connection
That, or if you are using a VPN that is unstable
funny I've checked most of those things including the av exceptions and I'm not using a vpn
but I might have an idea actually let me try smth
OOF
IT WORKED
ok for some very very stupid reason, my isp itself was blocking the downloads and it worked as soon as I turned on cloudflare warp
thanks a lot
