Hello. I tried to download the Lumafly modding manager, but Windows protected my PC. I am just wondering if it is okay for me to continue to download it? Sorry.
If there's a Pop Up that says "Windows Protected your PC", then click "More Info" (on the left), and then a "Run Anyway" button will appear to click.
This happens because Windows automatically blocks apps that don't pay Microsoft and go through the process to have their app Verified by Windows.
Installer vanishes after downloading / loads a blank screen
This is commonly because one or more issues:
The installer was left in a .zip or in the Download folder. (It's recommended to put it on your Desktop or on the same Harddrive as your game installation)
The installer may need to be run as Administrator (Right-Click it, and select "Run as Administrator")
The installer is being blocked / removed by built-in security software, such as Windows Defender
The installer is being blocked / removed by third-party security software (Avast / Norton / MacAfee / etc)
