#how to use scarab on steam deck

Just got a steam deck and keen to try some hollow knight mods. Completely new to modding so not really sure what I'm doing. I think I've managed to download scarab through chrome on my deck but now can't seem to find or interact with it. Is there something else I need to install or do? Again very new to modding and pc in general so please dumb down any advice as much as possible, thanks
