I'm trying to have steam recognize two versions of 1.2.2.1, one that's modded and one that is not. After doing all of that adding a non-steam game stuff, when I click to play on the modded version it opens the non-modded version. Now, I know the problem isn't the way I installed the mods or the API, because when I swap the hollow knight data files form both modded and unmodded hk, the text on the top left appears for the API and the rest of the mods. Fire's video said to have them on different folders but the .exe files on both just open the unmodded version, if anyone knows why please let me know and thank you

it says steam.api and it in the "plugins" folder on both versions of 1.2.2.1
how does that work?, I brute forced something with that file and managed to make the 1.5 shortcut, yet I have no idea how i did it

I don't know how it works (I use a different method for multiple installs) but you might want to check Lep's video as I think it's more updated than fire's and may point out something you missed

ok I think I found the problem, I have no steam appid text file. I tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling it but it didn't appear. Does anyone know how I can get it back?
