Please explain your problem
People cannot help you if they do not know what is going on.

Helpful information includes:

  • A detailed explanation of the problem that you're having
  • What you've tried so far
  • What Operating system you're on (Windows/MacOS/Linux/etc)
  • Where you got the game from
  • What patch you're on (This should show on the main menu)
  • A screenshot of your modlist (top left in the title screen)
  • Post your Modlog.txt (type ?tag modlog to see where it is)

Additionally, please ensure that you've checked #1047656117913800704 and the pins of #hk-general for common problems and information

ModLog
"ModLog.txt" can be found in the same folder as your save files (you can drag and drop the file into discord) :
Windows: %APPDATA%\..\LocalLow\Team Cherry\Hollow Knight\
MacOS: ~/Library/Application Support/unity.Team Cherry.Hollow Knight/
Linux: ~/.config/unity3d/Team Cherry/Hollow Knight/

To easily get ModLog on Windows:

  • Press ⊞ + R
  • Copy and paste this into it %appdata%\..\LocalLow\Team Cherry\Hollow Knight and hit "OK"
  • ModLog.txt is in this folder.

Note: ⊞ is the Windows button, in between Ctrl and Alt on your keyboard

Skin not working?

Please post a screenshot like the example below that shows:

  • Where you installed the skin
  • With the directory bar visible
  • With the skin images themselves visible
    Note: HKMP Skins do not use the HUD or Spells, and they only appear when connected to a server.
