so me nd a few friends have been playing hollow knight multiplayer, this is the second session we are playing. so we updated the mods before playing, but when entering the world the map mod (that shows all the check locations bec rando) doesnt work. like, it shows the full map and everything, but none of the checks, and also not the settings thing in the bottom left
idk what the problem could be, weve had this problem before and it seems to happen when we stop playing and then come back later after updating the mods

If you update Rando-related mods, then you need to start new Rando files

cause we have to update the mods to actually play
and we cant fully play the game in one sitting

A. The mods don't actually update that often
B. You should wait to update mods until you are done with your current game. It's very rare for there to be an update that would prevent you from playing. If one person updates, then you'd both need to update to match; but neither of you should need to update until your current game is ended.

A, for us the time between playing is so long that usually like min 5 of the mods we have need to be updated
B if we dont update the mods then we get stuck in a screen (specificly the screen when you click on the save and press resume)

This literally won't happen if you don't update mods in-between sessions, unless one of you changed something about your mods in-between those sessions

3 we open the game again to play
4 like half of us get stuck in the screen
5 we check for updates
6 there are multiple, so we update
7 then the rando shit breaks
8 and we have to restart
and idk what the problem is
and we really want to play
