Scarab is Installed but wont work | Hollow Knight Modding | Page 1

I installed Scarab but my whenever I load HK it is only Vanilla. I followed the guide and video, however it still is stuck as vanilla HK. I have tried manually setting the directory but otherwise not much yet. I am on Windows and using steam to run HK. Help please?

How to fix Installer Errors
🔹 Make sure Hollow Knight is CLOSED.
🔹 Make sure that the installer has been Extracted from the .zip and that the new folder isn't in your Downloads folder.
🔹 Right-click the installer file, and select "Run as Administrator".

Make sure all of that is true, then reinstall at least one mod.

You may also need to set Hollow Knight to "Only update when launching game" (and then decline if it asks to update) in steam. For some reason, Steam seems to automatically try to remove the ModdingAPI for some people.
