You won't receive help with pirated copies, however your saves should be carried over if you do purchase a legitimate copy. Or you can find them here:

Save Files and Global Settings location

Windows:
Press [WindowsKey] + [R],
Copy & Paste this: %AppData%\..\LocalLow\Team Cherry\Hollow Knight
Press Enter.

MacOS:
Open Spotlight (Command + Space) and type terminal,
Click enter to open the terminal,
Paste this into the terminal window: open ~/Library/Application\ Support/unity.Team\ Cherry.Hollow\ Knight/
Press Enter.

Linux:
Using your preferred method, navigate to:
~/.config/unity3d/Team Cherry/Hollow Knight/

Piracy is not something that is supported in pretty much any "main" community for a game, and that includes modding communities.

HK Modding is only supported on the official Steam version, the official GoG version, and the official Microsoft Store version.
