Struggling to get Custom Knight to work

Loading as a white box is usually fixed by simply restarting the game, assuming you already did that and since you said it loads as default.

Common CK issues/fixes

• Verify that the skin was installed correctly.
• Restart your game.
• Ensure that you're enabling it from the Pause Menu, not the Main Menu.
• If it doesn't apply, then you may need to reset your Global Settings for it. You can either manually do this by deleting the customknight.globalsettings files from your saves directors (type ?tag saves in chat if you don't know where that is), or by using an automatic script from ?tag reset.

That looks right, try resetting the CK global settings file

Windows:
Press [WindowsKey] + [R],
Copy & Paste this: %AppData%\..\LocalLow\Team Cherry\Hollow Knight
Press Enter.

MacOS:
Open Spotlight (Command + Space) and type terminal,
Click enter to open the terminal,
Paste this into the terminal window: open ~/Library/Application\ Support/unity.Team\ Cherry.Hollow\ Knight/
Press Enter.

Linux:
Using your preferred method, navigate to:
~/.config/unity3d/Team Cherry/Hollow Knight/
