After nine grueling races and a relentless wave of upgrades, Twitch Motorsports has risen to 4th in the championship standings, leaving their rival Stake Sauber languishing down in 11th. Every development, every risk taken has begun to pay off, proving that ambition—and investment—can indeed reshape the grid.

Meanwhile, at the front, Red Bull and Max Verstappen continue their merciless charge through the season, with Ferrari hot on their heels, setting the stage for an epic battle at every turn. Twitch may be climbing, but the giants of the sport still loom large—can the newcomers turn momentum into glory?

After 7 races, a lot has changed. Yuki Tsunoda has taken 3 victories and climbed to 2nd place in the championship. Max Verstappen secured 2 wins along with multiple podiums, while Oscar Piastri delivered McLaren’s first win of the season.

But… Daniel Ricciardo, with a stunning drive in Monza, brought Twitch Motorsports its first-ever victory in Formula 1 history, capitalizing on Verstappen’s struggles with the car. Even though the overall points haul was modest at this stage of the season, that breakthrough win has certainly given the entire team a huge boost of confidence. Let’s not forget Mick Schumacher’s incredible charge in Monza, climbing from P15 to finish in P5, adding even more valuable points for Twitch.

Meanwhile, Twitch’s rivals at Sauber are still waiting for their very first points. Speaking of backmarkers, it’s worth noting that Esteban Ocon managed to finish in the Top 10 twice, scoring 3 precious points for Haas.

Press after the race:

Journalist:
“Daniel, first of all congratulations on making history today – Twitch Motorsports’ very first win in Formula 1. Can you take us through those final laps in Monza? We all saw Max struggling, but you still had to keep your head down under massive pressure. What was going through your mind, and what does this moment mean to you personally, as well as to the team?”

Daniel Ricciardo:
“Ah mate… honestly, I’m still trying to process it. Monza’s always special, but today… wow. When I saw Max having issues, I knew this was the chance. But even then, nothing’s guaranteed, you still have to deliver every lap. The last few laps I was basically telling myself, ‘Don’t screw this up, Daniel, don’t screw this up!’

Crossing that line first, seeing purple everywhere in the Twitch garage, it just… it hit me. This isn’t just my win, it’s the whole team’s. We’re new, we’re hungry, and we’ve been grinding so hard for this moment. To be the guy who gives Twitch their first ever victory, man, that’s something I’ll never forget. And hey, I reckon we celebrated pretty well too — I might’ve lost my voice already!”

Questions for Mick:

Journalist:
“Mick, what an incredible performance today. Starting P15 and finishing P5, bringing home huge points for Twitch Motorsports alongside Daniel’s victory. Can you talk us through that comeback drive and how it felt to fight your way through the field here in Monza?”

Mick Schumacher:
“Yeah, thank you. It was definitely one of the most intense races I’ve had. Starting that far back, you know you need to stay calm, avoid trouble, and just pick your moments. The car felt really strong today, and once I got into a rhythm, I knew we could go forward.

Every overtake gave me more confidence, and honestly, when I crossed the line in P5 and heard Daniel had won… it was just pure joy. To share such a historic day with the team — Twitch’s first ever victory and one of my best results in F1 — it feels really, really special. This result shows what we’re capable of as a team, and it’s just the beginning.”

Transfer rumors are also heating up. Nothing official has been confirmed yet, but the main speculation surrounds Carlos Sainz potentially joining Twitch as Ricciardo’s replacement, with Daniel’s contract set to expire at the end of the season. Reports also suggest Twitch is keeping an eye on the very expensive Lewis Hamilton, Alpine’s Pierre Gasly, and the young talent Théo Pourchaire.
