Polls
If Polls to the above poll, which season after 2020

5
Oh no, I forgot to add 2007 to the last poll.
Anyway, to the Wheel to Names to sort out the tie
Some time soon, 50s. Some time soon
What will happen is first I'll finish 2020, then 1997 will start
Yasssssss
I'm hyped for this
Would also love to know the starting ratings for the 97 save
Ok, might be tough to judge for some drivers though
Who are you struggling on?
Haven't started yet, but I bet it might be hard to judge for some drivers because I haven't seen them much. Drivers like Ukyo Katayama, Pedro Diniz, Nicola Larini, and Shinji Nakano will not be easy to decide the ratings because I haven't seen much of them.
I'll cross that bridge when 2020 is done
Diniz was the paydriver's paydriver
This is fair
I had Diniz at Stewart GP in Grand Prix Manager once upon a time
Just for the first season because he brought so much money in haha
Then I binned him and got a good driver in 🤣
If only drivers had sponsor revenue on this game

Polesitter: Michael Schumacher
Arrows: Damon P12, Pedro P19
Lap 33: A wet race all the way through, there a 2 main strategies:
Pit early and hope you have enough tires at the end
OR
Manage early and have enough tire to chase to early stoppers down later in
As soon as I said that, safety car out, the late stoppers got more than they wanted at the moment
Top 6 on lap 36: M Schumacher, Frentzen, Villeneuve, Irvine, Panis, Hill
Lap 47: Hill currently 7th with better tires. We already lost a point to Jordan, we're not losing another to Prost (Panis is 6th)
Up front, Villenueve, Schumacher, Irvine, and Frentzen all within 1 second of each other
FINAL LAP: Villeneuve and Schumacher wheel to wheel through turn 1, who's going out with 10 points?
Race:
Finishing Order: R Schumacher DNF, Katayama DNF, Verstappen P20, Salo P19, Larini P18, Barrichello P17 (+5 seconds - 5 positions), Coulthard P16, Nakano P15, Magnussen P14, Trulli P13, Diniz P12, Herbert P11, Berger P10, Alesi P9, Fisichella P8, Hakkinen P7, Panis P6, Hill P5, Irvine P4, Frentzen P3, Villeneuve P2, M Schumacher P1
Winner: Michael Schumacher
Arrows: Damon P5, Pedro P12

Prost overtake Benetton for 6th in the constructors standings
Sauber overtake Stewart for 8th in the constructors standings
Minardi overtake Tyrrell for 10th in the constructors standings
Crazy gap from the top 2 to 3rd:
Leaders Williams have 26 points
2nd place Ferrari has 20 points
3rd place McLaren have... 2 points
New floor, Hill's car is 5th best in high speed cornering
🇦🇷 Argentina 1997:
Qualifying:
Q1 Knockouts: R Schumacher P22 (Out), Irvine P21, Magnussen P20, Verstappen P19, Katayama P18, Salo P17
Q2 Knockouts: Herbert P16, Barrichello P15, Diniz P14, Truilli P13, Larini P12, Berger P11

Polesitter: Michael Schumacher
Arrows: Damon P6, Pedro P14
Maybe I should've rated Diniz slightly lower
57 or something
R Schumacher takes a pit lane start
Race:
Finishing Order: Katayama DNF, Berger DNF, Truilli DNF, Diniz P19, Verstappen P18, Magnussen P17, Salo P16, Larini P15, Herbert P14, Barrichello P13, R Schumacher P12, Nakano P11, Alesi P10, Hill P9, Fisichella P8, Panis P7, Coulthard P6, Hakkinen P5, Villeneuve P4, Irvine P3, M Schumacher P2, Frentzen P1
Winner: Heinz-Harald Frentzen
Arrows: Damon P9, Pedro P19
Main Highlights:
Frentzen wins 1st race of the season and is now tied for the lead of the drivers standings with Schumacher
Irvine comes back from 21st to take 3rd
Prost overtake Jordan for 5th in the constructors standings
Will do San Marino later, I want to do an experiment with the season customization
What's the experiment?
I've tried that before and it surprisingly wasn't much
Maybe my experience will be different
Yeah let's see
🇸🇲 San Marino 1997:
Qualifying:
Q1 Knockouts: Berger P22, Alesi P21, Diniz P20, Katayama P19, Larini P18, Truilli P17
Q2 Knockouts: Barrichello P16, Magnussen P15, Salo P14, Verstappen P13, M Schumacher P12, Herbert P11
Big opportunity for Williams here
Q3 Top 10: Nakano P10, Couldthard P9, R Schumacher P8, Fisichella P7, Hill P6, Frentzen P5, Panis P4, Hakkinen P3, Villeneuve P2, Irvine P1
Polesitter: Eddie Irvine
Arrows: Damon P6, Pedro P20
What I'm finding is, in our area, Panis is Hill's main rival
Always near Hill in positions and is currently fighting with him for 4th
SCHUMACHER DID A LECLERC 25 YEARS EARLY!
THIS COULD BE HUGE FOR WILLIAMS THIS RACE
Lap 47: Frentzen, Hakkinen, and Coulthard are in the distance, so it's Hill and Panis dueling for the final point
Race:
Finishing Order: Diniz DNF, Katayama P21, Truilli P20, Verstappen P19, Salo P18, Magnussen P17, Larini P16, Alesi P15, Berger P14, Barrichello P13, Herbert P12, R Schumacher P11, Nakano P10, Fisichella P9, M Schumacher P8, Hill P7, Panis P6, Couldthard P5, Hakkinen P4, Frentzen P3, Villeneuve P2, Irvine P1
Winner: Eddie Irvine
Arrows: Damon P7, Pedro DNF
Main Highlights:
Irvine wins 1st race of the season
Villeneuve re-takes the lead of the drivers standings
Michael Schumacher comes back from crash to take 8th, just outside the points
Prost tie with Arrows for 4th in the constructors standings
🇲🇨 Monaco 1997:
Qualifying:
Q1 Knockouts: Diniz P22 (No time), Verstappen P21, Katayama P20, Salo P19, Truilli P18, Alesi P17
Diniz broke his front wing and got minor chassis damage in a crash, so I didn't bother running him again
Should I call him 'Binitz' if he crashes big time?
Q2 Knockouts: Magnussen P16, Barrichello P15, R Schumacher P14, Nakano P13, Herbert P12, Larini P11
Q3 Top 10: Berger P10, Hill P9, Panis P8, Fisichella P7, Coulthard P6, Hakkinen P5, M Schumacher P4, Frentzen P3, Irvine P2, Villeneuve P1
Polesitter: Jacques Villeneuve
Arrows: Damon P9, Pedro P22
Diniz takes a pit lane start because he f*&$ed the chassis and we have no spares so he has to take the old one and become even slower than before
Lap 11: After a safety car, Irvine and Schumacher are on Villeneuve's tail
Lap 44: Schumacher is the closest he's been to Villeneuve all season and is on fresher tires, but this is Monaco, can Villeneuve hang on to 1st and take 10 crucial points?
Lap 50: Villeneuve has given himself a bit of breathing space to Schumacher, but only a bit
Lap 51: Schumacher has some sort of gearbox problem, this could ruin his chance of passing Villeneuve.
Oh and Binitz crashed, again
Lap 56: Schumacher's gearbox has resolved itself, he can start to close in on Villeneuve again
Lap 64: RED FLAG, this is a huge opportunity for Ferrari to get back at Villeneuve
Lap 71: Truilli is failing to follow blue flags and is causing a mess of traffic, which also causes Villeneuve to lose 2 places
Lap 72: This traffic caused Berger, who was running 3rd, to crash into Frentzen, who then crashed into a wall and caused a concertina effect giving 5 cars front wing damage
So NOW they call the red flag.
After the Truilli Train mess, the Berger-Frentzen crash, and the blockade at the final corner giving 7 cars damage, it only took them 8 MINUTES to red flag the race for the 2nd time
Race:
Finishing Order: Verstappen DNF, Magnussen DNF, Diniz DNF, Katayama DNF, R Schumacher DNF, Hakkinen DNF, Frentzen DNF, Truilli P15, Salo P14, Barrichello P13, Herbert P12, Alesi P11, Berger P10 (+5 seconds - 3 places), Larini P9, Nakano P8, Hill P7, Panis P6, Coulthard P5, Fisichella P4, Irvine P3, Villeneuve P2, M Schumacher P1
Winner: Michael Schumacher
Arrows: Damon P8, Pedro DNF
Main Highlights:
Michael Schumacher wins 2nd race of the season and closes Villeneuve's lead in the championship to 1 point
Fisichella gets best result of the season with 4th
Jordan and Prost overtake Arrows for 4th and 5th in the constructors standings respectively
The messiest race of the season by far, so far
No shot we just lost 2 places to a glitch
Truilli went as slow as a Peel P50 trying to get lapped, causing this position rattling where Fisichella and Panis were given points positions enough to overtake us.
Hard to pinpoint a summer break, if there was any back then, so mid season standings will come after round 9, the British Grand Prix
🇪🇸 Spain 1997:

Polesitter: Eddie Irvine
Arrows: Damon P14, Pedro P17
Lap 6: Villeneuve 1st, Schumacher 4th, crucial for the standings
Lap 26: Villeneuve leads Frentzen, Schumacher, and Irvine, but the two Ferraris are on fresher tires. The only downside Ferrari have is that Irvine has some sort of gearbox problem
Lap 51: Schumacher, Frentzen, Villeneuve in order, but the further back the position, the fresher tires they have
Race:
Finishing Order: Barrichello DNF, Panis DNF, Herbert DNF, Katayama P19, Verstappen P18, Magnussen P17, Truilli P16, Diniz P15, R Schumacher P14, Larini P13, Salo P12, Nakano P11, Alesi P10, Berger P9, Fisichella P8, Hill P7, Hakkinen P6, Irvine P5, Coulthard P4, Frentzen P3, Villeneuve P2, M Schumacher P1

Lap 3: Irvine and Villeneuve duel for the lead, while Hill overtook Frentzen and Schumacher up to 3rd
Lap 4: Make that second, MAKE THAT FIRST, DAMON HILL LEADS THE FRENCH GRAND PRIX FOR ARROWS!
Lap 13: Schumacher has kind of run away at the moment
Lap 15: Nevermind, Irvine and Villeneuve are back with him
We need 1 point to reclaim 4th in the constructors from Jordan, then the lucky points in Monaco will be for nothing
10 laps to go: Frentzen, Schumacher, Villeneuve the top 3. Frentzen has the oldest tires, Schumacher is the middle of the road, and Villeneuve has the freshest tires
6.5 seconds between 1st and 3rd
Meanwhile further back, Hill is dueling with Hakkinen for 6th. We need that point
Race:
Finishing Order: Berger DNF, Alesi DNF, Salo DNF, Larini P19, Katayama P18, Diniz P17, Nakano P16, Magnussen P15, Verstappen P14, Truilli P13, R Schumacher P12, Barrichello P11, Fisichella P10, Herbert P9, Panis P8, Hakkinen P7, Couldthard P6, Hill P5, Irvine P4, M Schumacher P3, Villeneuve P2, Frentzen P1

Also, I sent Damon out with 2:10 to go, HOW DID HE NOT MAKE IT?!?! No traffic, nothing, wtf?

Nakano and Coulthard take pit lane starts
Lap 5: Safety car came out after Diniz did Diniz things. Villeneuve and Schumacher pit, and Schumacher has 2 cars who didn't pit to try and get past to Villeneuve
SC in this lap
Lap 28: Villeneuve and Schumacher have left everyone else behind, fighting for the lead as well
15 laps to go: Villeneuve has a 6 second gap to Schumacher, but Irvine is seemingly holding the Williams up. Is this teamwork going on down at Ferrari here?
Irvine pits and is out of contention, but he has reduced Villeneuve's lead to 3.5 seconds
Race:
Finishing Order: Diniz DNF, Katayama DNF, Frentzen DNF, Truilli p19, Magnussen P18, Herbert P17, Verstappen P16, Larini P15, Salo P14, R Schumacher P13, Barrichello P12, Berger P11, Hill P10, Fisichella P9, Nakano P8, Alesi P7, Panis P6, Coulthard P5, Hakkinen P4, Irvine P3, Villeneuve P2, M Schumacher P1

🇭🇺 Hungary 1997:
Qualifying:
Q1 Knockouts: Katayama P22, Diniz P21, Verstappen P20, Truilli P19, Salo P18, Larini P17
Q2 Knockouts: Magnussen P16, Fisichella P15 R Schumacher P14, Berger P13, Herbert P12, Nakano P11
Q3 Top 10: Hill P10, Barrichello P9, Panis P8, Alesi P7, Hakkinen P6, Coulthard P5, Irvine P4, Frentzen P3, M Schumacher P2, Villeneuve P1
Polesitter: Jacques Villeneuve
Arrows: Damon P10, Pedro P21
Pedro demoted to P22 due to grid penalty after a penalty from Germany was unable to be served
Lap 7: Villeneuve being more conservative in the early stages. 2 seconds behind Schumacher, but if he can keep within the slipstream of teammate Frentzen, he can keep close while keeping his tires in good check as well
Lap 15: Villeneuve 60% tires, Schumacher 51% tires. Is this paying off later?
Lap 22: Schumacher pits, how do Williams respond?
They call Villeneuve in, they've gone for the overcut, and it looks like he has Hakkinen to clear first
And clear he does
Lap 25: Frentzen leads, but is on significantly older tires than the 2 behind him, so the main focus looks to be Schumacher and Villeneuve
Lap 35: Frentzen has Villeneuve right behind. The logical thing would be to let him through, but Williams have gone for an unconvential method: Have Frentzen use all the remaining tire he has to drag Villeneuve closer to Schumacher, and it has seemingly worked, the gap has gone from 8.5 to 4 seconds.
Lap 48: Villeneuve is going very long on this stint, are Williams going for a really late charge?
Lap 53: They've pit Villeneuve way too late, he's been in backmarker traffic for a while, and it's a stop delay, a horrid race for the Williams, he's lost position to Hakkinen and Irvine
Race:
Finishing Order: Larini DNF, Diniz P21, Katayama P20, Verstappen P19, Truilli P18, Magnussen P17, Salo P16, Herbert P15, Nakano P14, R Schumacher P13, Barrichello P12, Hill P11, Fisichella P10, Berger P9, Alesi P8, Panis P7, Coulthard P6, Hakkinen P5, Irvine P4, Frentzen P3, Villeneuve P2, M Schumacher P1
Winner: Michael Schumacher
Arrows: Damon P11, Pedro P21
Main Highlights:
Schumacher wins 6th race of the season
Double podium for Williams, but you have to question just how many things went against Villeneuve. Ignorant backmarkers, pit stop delays, strategy blunders, all not things he needs to get back on level footing with Schumacher.

Winner: Eddie Irvine
Arrows: Damon P11, Pedro P19

Irvine wins 4th race of the season and once again denies Villeneuve of maximum points
Prost overtake Arrows for 4th in the constructors standings
Pre-Europe:
Drivers:
1st: Jacques Villeneuve, 99 points (Williams)
2nd: Michael Schumacher, 95 points (Ferrari)
Constructors:
1st: Ferrari, 175 points
2nd: Williams, 167 points
I have a plan for if something like this happens
Championship Requirements:
Jacques Villeneuve: Finish ahead of Schumacher
Michael Schumacher: Must win no matter where Villeneuve is
🇪🇺 Europe 1997:
Qualifying:
Q1 Knockouts: Larini P22 (Out), Katayama P21 (No time), Verstappen P20, Magnussen P19, Truilli P18, Diniz P17
Q2 Knockouts: Nakano P16 (Out), Fisichella P15, Hill P14, Salo P13, Barrichello P12, Herbert P11
Good news is the all important session now goes instantly with both of our cars out
Q3 Top 10: R Schumacher P10, Alesi P9, Berger P8, Panis P7, Irvine P6, Hakkinen P5, Coulthard P4, Villeneuve P3, Frentzen P2, M Schumacher P1
Polesitter: Michael Schumacher
Arrows: Damon P14, Pedro P17
Championship Contenders: Jacques P3, Michael P1
The catch is, Schumacher needs to win, so if Frentzen wins the race, Villeneuve will win the title
Lap 3: Not needed at the moment, Villeneuve takes both Frentzen and Schumacher in 1 lap
Lap 4: Title rivals have been left alone to duel, 1.4 to Coulthard in 3rd
Lap 5: Schumacher regains the lead, but Villeneuve is still right on his tail
Lap 7: Frentzen and now Irvine as well have caught up to the top 2
Now this bit could be the biggest civil war. If Irvine wins, it will deny Schumacher the title if Villeneuve finishes 4th or higher
Lap 10: The civil war is unlikely to happen at this point in time, Frentzen is doing the team game against Schumacher and Villeneuve is having to nurse his tires while fighting with Irvine
Briefly off topic, no matter if Villeneuve or Schumacher wins the title, it adds one more driver to my biggest F1 Manager project yet
Lap 14: As you were from lap 10, but looking at the constructors, one of the Ferraris has to DNF in order for Williams to steal the championship in that regard
Lap 16: Villeneuve is under threat from both McLarens! What is happening to the Williams?
Frentzen pits, AND IT'S A SLOW ONE, REAR RIGHT WOULDN'T COME OFF, THIS GIVES SCHUMACHER A HUGE ADVANTANGE!!!
Lap 17: Villeneuve, Irvine, and Coulthard all pit, the stops will determine the order on the way out
What happened to Irvine? Didn't look like he had a slow stop but he's been jumped by Coulthard and is a few seconds back from him
Lap 18: Despite the bad stop, Frentzen is flying, 15 seconds to Schumacher
Heading into lap 19, Frentzen set a time 4 seconds faster, surely Ferrari are going to call Michael in at some point?
Lap 19: Schumacher in, and the attempted overcut has even cost him postion to Villeneuve, a blunder or are Ferrari doing something not many know of?
Lap 21: Schumacher is stuck behind Berger, losing heaps of time behind the Benetton. Perfect opportunity for Villeneuve to create some breathing room
Leader Hakkinen spins, costing Frentzen some valuable time to Schumacher, not ideal
OH NO, VILLENEUVE HAS DEVELOPED AN ENGINE PROBLEM, IT'S COME AT THE WORST POSSIBLE TIME!
He can keep going at the moment, but can he keep 4th in case Frentzen wins?
Lap 34: Looks like Villeneuve's engine woes aren't going away, so it's all down to Heinz-Harald Frentzen to get something out of this season for Williams
SAFETY CAR DEPLOYED, THIS COULD COMPLETLY CHANGES THINGS!
Predictably, everyone in the top 4 pits, and exits in the same order
Lap 39: Safety Car in this lap, and Villeneuve's engine problem has still not gone away, this puts him under threat from the McLarens behind
Lap 41: IRVINE LEADS, WHAT IS GOING ON DOWN AT FERRARI? THERE'S A CHAMPIONSHIP AT STAKE!
15 laps to go: This Ferrari infighting has allows the Williams to keep on their tails. SPEAKING OF INFIGHTING, VILLENEUVE GETS PAST FRENTZEN DESPITE THE PROBLEM, THIS COULD BE HUGE FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP
Lap 47: VILLENEUVE'S FAULT HAS WORSENED, YET ANOTHER TWIST HERE TODAY!
It's very much power related, he could barely get past Irvine on the straight
5 laps to go: The nerves down at Williams are through the roof, the drivers championship has been put on Frentzen's shoulders for his teammate
HANG ON, THE TWO MCLARENS HAVE ARRIVED ON VILLENEUVE'S GEARBOX, THIS COULD COMPLETLY SWING THINGS
HAKKINEN'S GONE, VILLENEUVE DOWN TO 5TH. Now no matter if Frentzen wins or not, Schumacher wins the title
Coulthard through as well, I think it's all over
That engine problem just too much a deadweight for Villeneuve
Race:
Finishing Order: Salo DNF, Larini P21, Katayama P20, Diniz P19, Verstappen P18, Truilli P17, Nakano P16, Magnussen P15, Panis P14, Hill P13, Alesi P12, Herbert P11, Barrichello P10, Berger P9, Fisichella P8, R Schuamcher P7, Villeneuve P6, Coulthard P5, Irvine P4, Hakkinen P3, M Schumacher P2, Frentzen P1

Where was that meant to go then?

I checked, it was 22
The 2045 one? It's on 24 races

Hamilton and Verstappen take pit lane starts
Lap 8: Tsunoda has found his way up to 3rd place, quite the spot for AlphaTauri
Ahead of him, it's a Ferrari 1-2 led by Sainz

Bottas now leads the race
Lap 19: Tsunoda is in a heap of trouble, his ERS is dead with a load of cars on their way to his position
Lap 38: Within this time, Tsunoda has gone out of the points, Perez took the lead but got a major car problem, so it's a Ferrari 1-2 again, this time it's Leclerc in front
Lap 43: The McLarens are really coming back in this race, from 15th and 14th, they are now 4th and 2nd
Lap 47: What on earth is Mazepin doing? He's causing a mess with the leaders
Lap 52: The final stops are happening, this is crucial to decide the victor of this race
Lap 53: Mazepin has crashed with 19th placed Raikkonen. Haas really need Schumacher's 12th place in France to not be bested by Alfa Romeo at this point

Maybe even Sainz as well
Lap 60: Mazepin update: He's been lapped by 21st placed Latifi
Lap 64: Well Sainz's tires are going, his victory chances are gone
Lap 69: Just 3 laps left, Leclerc and Norris are still fighting for 1st
Final Lap: Norris crosses the line first, but Leclerc is right on his tail
Leclerc swoops around the outside at turn 4 and takes the lead on the final lap! Can he hang on though?

Lap 27: Safety car is out, after pit stops, Verstappen leads a Red Bull 1-2 with the McLarens 4th and 6th, crucial for the championship
Lap 32: Two laps after the restart, Perez has a mechanical fault, but he seems to be using it to the team's advantage by holding up everyone else behind for Verstappen. The gap is already 4.5 seconds
Lap 49: Seems that Perez holding everyone back has helped Verstappen, it seems unlikely that Norris can catch him at this point, but there are still a few laps left
Final lap: The gap is 2.4 seconds, but Norris is gaining hand over fist for the lead
He's right there as they go down the old pit straight, 0.6 seconds
HE GOES FOR IT DOWN INTO STOWE, AND HE TAKES THE LEAD ON THE LAST LAP, SCENES HERE AT SILVERSTONE

McLaren: Daniel P6, Lando P5
That was an unexpected pole position. I thought everyone had finished their laps, but Perez was still on his, and took pole from Verstappen by 6 thousandths
Mazepin takes a pit lane start, not that it makes a difference
Lap 1: This is an interesting start. Sainz, Bottas, Schumacher, Stroll, Piastri, Russell, and Latifi are on inters, everyone else is on wets.
I have to say, his luck has been atrocious whenever he's been in good places. He was on for two top 5s at Austria and somewhere else, but got mechanical problems.
Lap 22: The track has dried up a little bit, inters are now the best tire
After pit stops, Perez leads from Verstappen and Hamilton
Lap 24: Perez says he's losing a lot of power, looks like a major problem. Hopefully this isn't the heartbreaking end to his race from the lead here in Hungary
Lap 25: Verstappen is right on his gearbox now, is this a change of lead here?
Lap 26: Verstappen has a go into turn 5 and makes it stick, Perez's engine problem just too much to overcome the attack
Lap 33: Back to full wets, and Hamilton's undercut has put him closer to Perez for 2nd
Lap 66: What a shame for Perez, leading at one point, to slumping to 5th after the engine has completely let go, a disaster day for the other Red Bull

I wish I was lying when I say that Mazepin is 21st, but a rather lucky 16th in the Silverstone sprint is what's saving him from total humiliation.

Lap 8: Sainz has found his way through the train and leads for Ferrari at Monza
Lap 34: Verstappen got out of DRS and hasn't looked back since, looking to be out of reach at this point

Oh mein gott
Wait what
Isn't this 2021
Yes
Why is McLaren quick
They're Midfield at best in 2021
Like Mercedes Red Bull 5 tick and Ferrari McLaren are 3 tick
1: I'm managing McLaren, so I make things way too better than they actually should
2: Funnily enough, I put Mercedes on 5 tick, and they still absolutely suck

Lap 55: On a rather fitting lap, Verstappen is forced to pit, leaving Carlos Sainz in the lead of this race
Lap 58: CHAMPIONSHIP LEADER RICCIARDO HAS HIT THE WALL!! This has all but secured a surprise win for Ferrari
Lap 61: I have a lot of variables to contend with:
1: Stay ahead of Verstappen with Norris

3: Overtake the cars with Ricciardo
4: Keep Perez behind Ricciardo

Lap 24: So a short recap:
The race started in damp conditions but went to wets in a few laps. I went for wets to build a gap to the cars behind, and it seemed to work. Until Mazepin caused a safety car and derailed original plans. But the track is now damp again, which means my drivers can preserve the old wets better. If we can hang on until it becomes wet again, we can pit for another set of wets and come out in the lead again
Lap 30: Now we can undercut the leaders
Lap 37: The guys in front still haven't pitted and the track is getting dryer. Daniel is 6th while Lando has struggled with the traffic and is down in 11th
Verstappen is 9th and has a major problem, so big points are on the cars for both drivers
Lap 39: Outside of the top 3 drivers, every pitted except Hamilton and Alonso
Make that just Hamilton
Lap 44: Ironic number, Hamilton gets passed by Ricciardo on track while the Mercedes is on 32% tires
Lap 46: Wait, what's this? Sergio Perez is within sight of Daniel Ricciardo, could he possibly take some points off Ricciardo to help his teammate Verstappen?
It's starting to dry up a bit, is anyone going to try inters this time?
Looks like Hamilton is gambling on the weather to stay dry enough for the inters to be better, he fit inters on his last stop
Lap 49: Meanwhile, Perez is within 2 seconds of Ricciardo for the lead
Lap 51: 3 main contenders for the win, Perez is now within 5 tenths of Ricciardo, while Hamilton's intermediate gamble is allowing him to gain seconds per lap. The win is still up for grabs, who's going to take it here in Turkey?
Lap 53: Hamilton now 8 seconds behind Ricciardo, he's gaining hand over fist
He's 3 seconds a lap faster
On the team principal side here, I'm very nervous. The rain is increasing, but only slightly, and Hamilton is gaining at a rate of knots
Lap 55: VERSTAPPEN'S TIRE HAS BLOWN, THIS IS HUGE FOR THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!!!
3 laps to go: Hamilton now 3 seconds behind Ricciardo, this is going to be the closest finish in years
2 laps to go: Looks like the rain has come at just the right time, Hamilton no longer gaining in the leaders
He may even lose 3rd here
Final Lap: That inter gamble narrowly didn't pay off for Mercedes, Hamilton back down to 5th
To add insult to injury, Hamilton gets a mechanical problem after his race has finished
Race:
Finishing Order: Mazepin DNF, Giovinazzi P21, Russell P20, Ocon P19, Schumacher P18, Latifi P17, Stroll P16, Raikkonen P15, Alonso P14, Bottas P13, Piastri P12, Vettel P11, Albon P10, Verstappen P9, Gasly P8, Tsunoda P7, Sainz P6, Hamilton P5, Norris P4, Leclerc P3, Perez P2, Ricciardo P1
Winner: Daniel Ricciardo
McLaren: Daniel P1, Lando P4

Weather is a little dodgy at the moment, so I may intermittingly stop updating at times.
For America, we have fitted 4 upgrades to hopefully make us consistently as quick as the Red Bulls and keep both drivers in the championship fight
4 upgrades lets goo

Daniel beating Lando yooooo. Btw what are your team standings? If you know it btw
All of them or just mine?
1st with 580 points
Here I see ot
We're going to need races like the last one to keep beating Max at this point. Lap 5 in America and he's already 2 seconds ahead
Constructors is without question though because Perez tapped into his 2024 form 3 years early
Lap 12: Verstappen leads a Red Bull 1-2 with Ricciardo just behind them
Just checked, Mazepin has DNFd 7 times, the most of any driver in this season
Lap 15: It's now Verstappen leads Ricciardo leads Perez leads Norris
Lap 19: Both McLarens pit, and they's perfectly put Ricciardo ahead of Piastri
Lap 2: The rest of the front runners pit, and Ricciardo is out ahead of Verstappen, the undercut working for McLaren
However, Perez pit even earlier and is the current race leader
