When ive set my race strategy up and changed it from the default that is suggests, i sometimes go into the races where it doesnt use the strat ive created and reverts to the default selected.

So for whatever reason when you change the driver command pace (at least in my experience), the race strategy you had picked will be changed. For a workaround, just do the race strategy last before you start the race

Had this issue happen to me, but when I made a mid-race save to go eat dinner and then returned to the game.
