DUTCH GRAND PRIX 2028
WEEKEND PREVIEW
It's the final weekend before the Summer Break, Round 12 of this 2028 Formula 1 season, and we head to the Netherlands and the dunes of Zandvoort. How will this race lay out the land ahead of the Summer Break?
LAST TIME AROUND
A memorable weekend for Carlos Sainz, who took his fifth career victory ahead of Charles Leclerc and Andrea Kimi Antonelli, a first career podium for Antonelli. It was the first time a non Ferrari driver has won a race this season. It was also a disaster of a weekend for Oscar Piastri, who was involved in two collisions in the Sprint and the Race itself - taken out by Liam Lawson via Valtteri Bottas in the Sprint, and then colliding again with Bottas in the race and ending up 10th, meaning the title race is now at 89 points.
THE CIRCUIT
The Circuit Zandvoort is a 4.259km track situated in the dunes North of Zandvoort, about 35km, 22 miles, west of Amsterdam. The Circuit is known for its high banked corners and fast, sweeping corners, including Tarzanbocht, named for the nickname of a local who wanted a corner named after him to give up his vegetable patch in order for the Circuit to be built. The corner is the most famous on the circuit and is a prime overtaking spot, with a long DRS run into it, one of two DRS Zones around this 14 turn circuit.
