I mainly only use practice 1 for the first season or two, just to get setups in a general direction. Nearly every other practice session after that gets simulated.
But atm, the simulation is leaving me with usually 2 sets of new soft tyres for qualifying on 1 car and 4 sets on another. I don't entirely understand why this is the case, but being able to even just set a preference of priority for soft, medium or hard.
I understand that on a regular race weekend, 2 sets of tyres get handed back after each session, but being able to encourage the a.i to go in a general direction would be good
