Now I've put some time in this year's game, I can't help but feel like the fluctuations of other teams' development on last year's game was better. I recall on my Aston save, over the course of 5 or 6 years, there were points where teams like Alpine and Mclaren were the best car, and Ferrari and Merc dropped into the bottom half on occasion. Halfway through S3 here and Red Bull are still miles out front, Ferrari and Merc are still 2 and 3 (because Aston start as 4th best to begin with). In fact, in terms of where the cars start, apart from ourselves, it's only Mclaren that have outright improved and they're still only 5th, and Haas have slipped to 2nd worst, most likely because of their financial constraints. The upshot is, and I can't speak for everyone, but I imagine it feels like we're all playing the exact same simulation with no variation apart from our own choices.
I wish we could have the challenge of developing our car from '23 (because that is so much better now) with the volatility of the AI development of '22.
