How to do software products with zero shipping cost?

I have hundreds of products in my shop with a single fixed price shipping method.
Now I added a few software products that doesn't need shipping.

I tried adding a new shipping method with zero cost but it's now showing both options for all carts.

In the my software product edit page, I assigned Shipping configuration to the free option but doesn't make any difference

In this you have to bypasss the shipping method and proceed for the checkout

Thanks for your input, how should I do that in your opinion?
I was thinking to implement it in the storefront so it doesn't show the other option.
But then someone can trick the storefront and choose the free shipping option for other products

You should definitely check the "Digital Products" recipe, some parts are surely interesting for your use case

Thank you Adil. that recipe was interesting.
But I don't need all that file management, download link, ... for now.
I'm just starting that section.

What I need is to limit a shipping method to specific products only.
So if you have a non-software product in your cart, you shouldn't be able to select Free Shipping in checkout!
