So far during my time here at the writing residency at Goodspeed Musicals in Connecticut, I've updated The Horse and the Infant and Just a Man. I've also finished writing Full Speed Ahead (new version where we meet Eurylochus and Polites), Open Arms (new Polites song that takes Ody and Polites to the Lotus Eaters), and Warrior of the Mind (updated version that introduces Athena into the plot)! The new first saga of EPIC is currently looking like this:

1. The Horse and the Infant (I might change this title to Will of the Gods)
2. Just a Man
3. Full Speed Ahead
4. Open Arms
5. Warrior of the Mind

I'm now working on the new Cyclops Saga! I'm VERY excited. I'm hoping to make it one of the biggest, most intense, and most epic moments in the show. The Cyclops saga is projected to take up songs 6-10, but I'll keep y'all updated as I write it!

I've got 2 weeks left at this writing residency. I can't to show y'all everything I've been working on! Thank you all for supporting and for being here for the journey. WE'RE GETTING CLOSER Y'ALL!!!!

<@&876515904517722172> <@&876513300437934090> HELLO MY FRIENDS!!! Today I’m leaving the Writers Grove at Goodspeed Musicals in Connecticut, but I wanted to give a quick recap on the stuff I was able to get done in my time there!
In the last month, I’ve worked on rewriting the opening sequence (The Horse and the Infant and Just a Man), I’ve rewritten Full Speed Ahead to introduce Eurylochus and Polites earlier, written a new Polites/Lotus Eaters song called Open Arms, updated Warrior of the Mind, started working on the Cyclops Saga, rewritten parts of Luck Runs Out and Keep Your Friends Close, made small updates to The Underworld and Love in Paradise, written a new Act 1 closer called Monster, and updated the final song of the show, Olive Tree! Thank you to everyone who has been supporting me and the many updates/changes to the script throughout this month. It has been a very important month for EPIC, and I’m extremely happy with how rewrites are coming along!!!

Also, you can expect some super exciting news about the future of EPIC coming soon. 👀
