2023 is a big year for FNaF fans! We've had a teaser trailer for the movie, a DLC trailer, a new game trailer, multiple giveaways and much more. We also recently hit 20k members on the server! A huge thank you to every member who does their best to help make this server such a great place to be. It can sometimes get rocky when lots of new members come in, but it's great to see new members who become such a positive part of the community.
While this is a verified server with Scott's blessing and approval, most of the events for the server; including Q&As and giveaways, are done solely by myself at this time, and I greatly appreciate the ongoing support from the community, including my wonderful moderators, Youtooz, the remarkable voice actors from the games, and also Freddit, who are fantastic at providing up-to-date news and helped with some important advice during the server's earliest days.

Hi guys! It's just over two weeks until the Five Nights at Freddy's movie releases! We're nearly there! 
Some countries are going to be getting it a bit early on the 25th instead of the 27th, this means there are going to be spoilers in the wild. For those who would like to discuss the movie in all of its details, there is a spoiler-friendly thread here: https://discord.com/channels/874618617096990762/1080985203192909965 - We're aware not everybody, especially new members, go into the forums initially and will go straight into a channel that they can see, so there's a spoiler-friendly channel here: https://discord.com/channels/874618617096990762/1161347253265518743 This will be opened closer to the time where all spoilers should remain until the spoiler embargo is lifted on the 27th of November. To make things easier on the moderators, the slow mode for most channels will be increased for a little while as well.
We recognise that some countries aren't getting the movie until the start of November, and others don't have confirmed release dates yet, but hopefully this caters for the majority. Anybody posting spoilers intentionally outside of the thread/channel will be timed out and those who insist on continuing to do so after may be removed from the server. Everybody deserves to enjoy the movie! Of course, there are those who don't mind being spoiled and are excited to find out as many details/secrets as possible, the spoiler-friendly thread and eventual channel are there for you too.

We recognise our newest moderators were unable to utilise any of their moderation abilities. Hi guys, just an update. Going forward, outside of the news channels for the time being, Twitter/X links have been banned on this server and any previously sent links have been retroactively removed. I typically try my best to stay as apolitical as possible, but oftentimes being silent and simply remaining as is can unintentionally contribute towards greater issues. I do not believe that standing up against harmful rhetoric or Nazi symbolism is inherently political, but merely what I believe is right. While I fully recognise that this won't make a difference here and that this decision is mostly symbolic in nature, small steps by the many can light the way forward.
There is far too much hate speech, discriminatory language and marginalisation on the platform, which goes against everything I stand for and have fostered in this community. I have always consistently stood for supporting everyone so long as nobody else is being harmed. Online, trolling and teasing is commonplace, and often in this server it's done in a good light where everybody means well, but there is a line and I think it's important that everybody, particularly the impressionable, aren't exposed to such hateful mindsets. Everybody has the right to live their life the way it is right for them, but if that way involves discriminating, harming, alienating or isolating particular groups of people, this server isn't the place for you, it's really as simple as that. Hi guys! Unfortunately, due to technical difficulties, the Q&A wasnāt recorded, something Iām genuinely gutted about since we all had a great time! Iāve done my best to put together a summary of what was covered from beginning to end, including a few clarifications and corrections to any confusion or misinformation. Again, this is all from memory, so some things may have been left out. I've also opted to leave out anything I'm not 100% sure of as I wouldn't want to contribute to misinformation.
- The interview started with some easier questions, such as the personal favourite DBD characters of each member of the team. One member mentioned Chucky, another said Nicolas Cage.
- There was a question about whether Glitchtrap was canonically the same as the version from Help Wanted, and it was clarified that heās not the original, but a copy created by The Entity, a copy made flesh.
- When discussing more skins for Springtrap, a Blighted skin was mentioned as an example, but not confirmed. What was confirmed is that more skin(s) are on the way, including one that happens to be Eric Popeās favourite. I tried pressing for more on this, but I didn't want to pry too hard! (Not until the end, anyway...)
- Scott Cawthon was confirmed to be involved more than most people BHVR have worked with, from start to finish, personally approving every visual and writing decision. That includes details like Springtrapās missing torso colour and button, and Freddy's red bowtie.
- Foxy, although absent in all forms except for a plushie, hasnāt been forgotten. The team reiterated that everything has a reason!
- A survivor wasnāt added because BHVR wanted the experience to feel like you were the player from the original FNaF games, you. Your survivor choice is who you are. The idea of possibly adding Josh Hutcherson as Mike Schmidt was brought up as something that could happen in the future, though nothing is currently planned or confirmed.
- There were also talks about a Yellow Rabbit variant with the mask. While itās something theyād like to do, technical limitations such as how licensed skins are currently locked customisation-wise, mean it would require some adjustments/overhauls if itās ever considered, so that may not be likely to happen.
- Someone asked if The Entity likes Springtrap, the team explained that human emotions donāt really apply to The Entity; I then asked if it seems like The Entity just sees all killers as tools of convenience, to which they agreed it was one good explanation for it.
- Matthew Lillardās involvement wasnāt planned from the start! When discussing how that all came about, it was highlighted that Scott gave him a call later on in the process to ask if heād be interested, and he absolutely was, and the rest was history from that point.
- Thereās no confirmation or any plans at this point for any FNaF Charms in Dead by Daylight.
- When talking about the possibility of other FNaF-inspired maps, like Fazbear Frights, the team said theyāre really happy with the one theyāve created. While the original FNaF game and movie served as inspiration, the final design is meant to be The Entityās interpretation of that world. One developer said they'd love to see an extract of the Pizzaplex as the next FNaF DBD map.
- BHVR were also asked what originally inspired them to create DBD. One answer mentioned a playable concept made by someone on the team, where someone has to complete puzzles and escape while being hunted down by another, this led to the idea of bringing all the horror movie killers together into one game. Before that, BHVR primarily made games for other studios, not their own.
- Someone else asked whether The Huntress was based on any real-world folktales. BHVR confirmed sheās entirely original.
- SCP was also brought up, and it was confirmed that it will never cross over with DBD due to its specific Creative Commons license.
- The team were asked about their familiarity with FNaF before the crossover, some said they knew it personally, others mentioned they lived it vicariously through their children. When asked about their favourite animatronics, a few were mentioned, including Foxy.
- Another question that came up was asking the team who would be chosen as the killer if not Springtrap? The team agreed that it would be The Mimic.
- We then went onto discussing indie icons or generally iconic characters that the team would personally love to see in DBD. Between them, they included Fatal Frame, Inscryption, Tekken, Faith, and Jaws (Happy 50th Anniversary!).
- On the subject of Yellow Rabbitās unique voice line(s) for Nicolas Cage, Eric Pope admitted that some of the team didnāt even realise those were in the game until the update went live and others discovered it for themselves! Eric liked to imagine that it was done as a nice surprise for him. When asked if more unique character-specific interaction lines might appear in future, it seemed to be likely! BHVR are actively exploring new ideas for voice content.
- Someone also asked whether there were any Easter Eggs left undiscovered in the FNaF map, including ones hidden out-of-bounds. The team felt confident that players had found them all.
- When asked if theyād want to do another FNaF chapter and introduce The Mimic, they obviously couldnāt confirm anything, but they said theyād absolutely love to. It's very likely to happen.
- To finish off with less than one minute to spare, I once again asked if we could just get one tiny hint about the upcoming Springtrap skin.
With a quick "No!" from Mat and a quick "I tried my best." from me, that brought the Q&A to an end and I thanked everybody for their time! We all agreed weād love to do another one in the future, and, next time, weāll 100% make sure it's recorded and that contingencies are put in place for any technical difficulties! I may be missing some little details here and there, but I think I've covered the most important parts of the Q&A!

Hi guys, I don't share much about my personal life, but I wanted to make a post to both celebrate 200k members, and explain that I'll be temporarily stepping away from the server for a bit. No pings for this message since it's more personal than anything else. 200,000 members is huge, thank you to all of those who are making this server the best it can be, and for those who treat it as their home server, I genuinely hope we've made it as good as it can be for you. This franchise, and by extension this server, have been big parts of my life, however, another unfathomably bigger part of my life is my best friend of 6 and a bit years, Luna. She's been here in the background, every single step of the way, and turned 6 in October 2025. It breaks my heart to write this, because earlier this week, Luna was diagnosed with Stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease, something that we currently don't have the means to treat. The vets shared that they'd never seen a dog at this stage of this condition with as much energy, drive, love and excitement as she had, a testament to her strength. She was hospitalised for a few days, and has returned home with us today to spend the rest of her time with her family, ensuring that we keep her as comfortable and happy as possible. I'm going to be taking this time away to fully spend it with her. More than anything, Luna absolutely adores people, and up until this day, she is the kindest and most loving soul I've ever known, I know she'd love every single one of you and run up to say hi, the same thing she does to absolutely everybody she's ever come across. Luna is going to continue to be treated, as she always has been, with the same level of unending love and care she has shown us every single day. Here are some photos of her. I'll see you guys soon, but at the same time, hopefully not too soon. š

A few changes have been made to combat this further, including a honeypot channel to catch compromised accounts. Do not type in this channel, you WILL be banned.

<@&908771037368438876> We have new #roles available! Branching out into the FNaF2 animatronics. A massive thanks to the incredibly talented @cold drum for the role icons/emotes. Wondering where animatronics such as Withered Freddy are? Due to the limited number of role slots, we had to compromise by adding 'Status Roles' (Such as Withered, Nightmare, etc) that you can use in conjunction with your chosen animatronic!
