While on the stack, Pulsing Aether//Life isn’t an instant unless you paid for the Life side. If you just played it as Pulsing Aether, Aetherize does nothing.
If you did meld the card (played and paid for both sides) then the entire card is negated, because the way meld works is it’s a single card that resolves twice on the stack from right to left.
