Player A attacks an angel with Art of Desire Body. During the attack reaction step player A playes both Path Well Traveled amd Grain Targetting Art of Desire Body.
Can player B while the effects are still on the stack, resolve at instant speed an figment of Ravages in order to kill the Angel and Completly Fizzle the Stack ?
To my understanging that works. Angel will die, and Art of Desire and the 2 Trancend cards will go to the graveyard and no ap will be generated.
Is this correct ?

Incorrect. The combat chain does not get closed if the attack target dissappears. The only ways that happen is during the start of the attack step:
7.2.2. First, at least one of the attack’s attack-targets (see Rule 1.4.5) must still be a legal target. Otherwise,
the Attack Step ends and the Close Step begins (see Section 7.7 - Close Step).
7.2.2a Only one target needs to be legal at this point of combat. If all attack-targets cease to be legal
after this point, combat will continue.
