Okay, so lets say I just have 2 spectral shields on board, and the opponent is attacking for 6 damage. In the resolution phase, if I play a Phantom Tidemaw will it see the spectral shields pop and get 2 counters? Or would the ward on Tidemaw attempt to prevent 1 of the 4 damage going over? Or would it just not see the shields pop at all?
