Player 1 wishes to use Luminaris, Celestial Fury to give Herald of Erudition go again, but wants to use the resources from Best of the First Vest triggering.

Is this possible? By the time Vest triggers and player 1 activates Luminaris, Celestial Fury, is it too late to give Herald of Erudition go again and gain an action point from the resolution?

It is not too late to give Go Again to the Herald. Both the Herald and the Vest trigger on hits in the Resolution Step. As long as the active player layers the triggers so that the Vest is resolved first then the resource can be used to use Luminaris. All of this before the Herald trigger resolves and goes to soul

The Go Again is checked in the Link Step that comes after the Resolution Step.
