Your question has some timing issues on it so we need to break it down to properly respond:
When the Dromai announces the Tomeltai attack, that is the Layer Step. There is no attack trigger yet. If the Wizard kills Tomeltai in this priority window, there will not be a triggered ability.
When you say the attack trigger is already on the stack, that is during the Attack Step. Specifically that would be the priority window after Tomeltai is attacking and his ability has triggered. If the Wizard kills Tomeltai in response to the triggered ability, it will not cause the ability to fizzle.
