Hi, hope this was not asked before.
Tomeltai attacks and reveal 2 red. Targets Tectonic Plating wich has already two counters on it. Will the plating be destroyed? I don't think so because the Plating do not go to 0 defense.

Tomeltai doesn't say the armor has to "go to" 0 defense, just that it has to have 0 defense. Either two or one red cards revealed can destroy any armor with zero block

Tomeltai also doesn't target the equipment, it is chosen on resolution

In a hypothetical situation where Tectonic Plating had four -1 defense counters, it would still be considered to have 0 defense

Yeah I believe no number can become negative in fab, if it would it just becomes 0 instead.

2.0.3c A numeric property can not have a negative base or modified value. If one or more effects would set or reduce the base or modified value of a numeric property to be less than zero, instead they set or reduce it to zero.
