I bought 1000 buildings twice, but no level of it ever triggered. In the end I bought the task with amber, which did work.
#On the moonlanding event, the "buildings at the same time" task would not trigger at all.

If you've done that before then it will work with the perfect ascension but otherwise you'll just get the amount you've done before
