Make it so stock V8 and I6 rev to 5.5k and with performance heads they would rev to 7-8k, but throw rods. And add forged rods and crank to handle the high rpms.
Would make engines much more fun to deal with- instead of just power gains you'd get higher rpms and stronger internals
Maybe also make it so when running a lot of power through stock rods and crank they'll explode
