hi i am new in audacity and i want to know if there are free ways to separate vocals from audio without AI... i use openvivo and it (sometimes) sounds terrible so i will be happy for respond thanks

basically you'd be using the spectrogram view in audacity to reduce the volume of the vocal's frequencies by hand
this will not work well and it'll take ages to remove a single syllable
i know you asked for non-ai but really openvino might just not be good enough for you
in that case, you should try UVR
